Caroline And Pauls Intimate Garden Wedding

Hello all, I am delighted to be starting a new feature on my blog where I will be sharing real wedding stories with you. If you want to feature your wedding story you can contact me via email weddingsbeautyfashion@gmail.com.

This post is dedicated to the wedding story of Caroline & Paul.
Let's start at the beginning of their wedding story.. the engagement took place in the Botanic Gardens a very special place for them as a family and couple.

"On the 18th January 2015, Paul and I brought the kids to the botanic gardens as we have done in the past and it didn’t seem strange to me that day apart from the fact we had just been to an anniversary mass for Paul’s mam and were heading to dinner with the family. So I thought it was a little odd but knowing Paul I went along with it as he is a sentimental man and I figured he just wanted to do something nice to mark the day

"It was a cold January day Paul was drying a seat for me to sit on. I turned away to fix the seat and as I turned back I could hear my daughter getting very excited and I looked at her and saw Paul on bended knee trying nervously to say something... "

Turned out Paul had got the ring in Prague when he brought Caroline away the previous year before Christmas, Caroline was having her nails done and Paul went ring shopping

After the engagement started the wedding planning. As a couple, they wanted a garden wedding and their chosen venue was in Delvin County Westmeath as Paul has a small house there. The garden held a special meaning as Pauls Mother used to sit there, it would feel like she was there with them on the day.

Having a wedding outdoors especially in Ireland can be a gamble but it worked out for Caroline and Paul. After Looking around they hired a marquee from Wedding Marquee Ireland. To get the garden wedding ready Paul and his Dad spent most weekends in Delvin working on it, it was hard work but paid off in the end.

We decided as our wedding was to be a little different we wanted our wedding attire made. We have a friend that is dressmaker so I designed my dress and she made it. Paul designed his and sourced the material himself for her to put her magic to it. Zaneta also made Tara’s beautiful bridesmaid dress and Seán's best man suit.

The wedding represented both of their interests, Caroline, is a GAA supporter  (Dublin of course) and Paul has a love for Motorbikes. Even the wedding invitation was a GAA ticket, now that's attention to detail.

Music on the day was also performed by Katie (their children’s music teacher)  Seánd and Tara also played a part on the day. Image shown below, what a gorgeous memory to have.

Their advice... "We loved everything about planning our wedding except the invite list part. Our advice would be to go with your gut, what you both want and not what others think it should be like. We wish we had a smaller guest list, we are thrilled with all who came obviously but initially, it was to be less"

"This was our wedding done the way we wanted and it is a great feeling knowing we were hands-on in making it the perfect day"

To finish off an amazing wedding. Caroline and Paul went cruising on the med for their honeymoon on the Carnival Vista.

Flormar Revolution Lipstick In Burgundy Mission

I was delighted to receive a sample of the Revolution lipstick in burgundy mission, along with the lip liner to match. These were Kindly sent from RDC Communications. Flormar was launched this year in Ireland and it has proven to be a huge success and a popular choice for those who want affordability and quality.

I tested this lipstick out over Christmas, as I am trying to be more adventurous and try out stronger colours, as I normally tend to stick with nude tones. This lipstick is a rich berry colour with blue undertones, having these undertones makes your teeth appear whiter.
"Revolution is Flormar premium lipstick containing shea butter, cocoa, olives, a super pigment and easy 8 hr staying power".
Application Tips:
Before application ensure your lips are in good condition especially in this harsh weather. Exfoliate to remove any dry skin and apply vaseline regularly to keep them conditioned. I applied setting powder to my lips before application, this can help prolong …

Finally Contouring is getting the push

Anyone else as happy as me to see that contouring is not as popular in the makeup world. I personally could never get used to it. I think it looks amazing in photographers or on a night out when done right. If you prefer a more heavy look. I believe strobing has been around before it was just called highlighting then. So do not be confused!!!

For me I prefer a more natural look when it comes to makeup. The whole idea with strobing is that you can see the skin and it is not heavily covered up.
I have been using the Mac Strobe Cream for a few months now. You can also strobe with powder.

What I like about Mac Strobe?

It makes the skin look radiant, fresh and healthy (for tired Mammies like me it's a must) It's easily applied. It's a no fuss product, there is no messing with it. It can be worn alone or added after foundation is applied. With some blush you are good to go.

Think about this, have you ever gone to a wedding and after dinner all you want to do is take off your heels and wear something more comfortable so you can dance the night away or have you only wished that you had of brought the hair clips and hairspray that you left at home...I know I have for sure, so do not let your guests go through these traumas at your wedding.
